Helen J. Merillat Named to Exclusive Membership Organization
Helen J. Merillat attributes her success to her people management skills, and the ability to respect, praise and treat employees in a professional and friendly manner

WAUSEON, OH, September 3, 2010 /24-7PressRelease/ --Helen J. Merillat, Manager, Technical Services, Clinical Applications for ProMedica Health System, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in people management and growing one's skills.

At ProMedica Health System, Ms. Merillat manages the technical team, and works to develop and implement electronic medical records, table building, security procedures, clinical alerts, and equipment selection and deployment in a multi-hospital setting. She became involved in her current position after working as an RN performing bedside care in adult critical care, management in critical care, development of an education program preparing RNs to work in an adult critical care unit to being the patient care liaison to the IT department when implementing a new order entry and billing system. She was involved with year 2000 testing and the development and implementation of a second order entry and billing system. With 39 years of professional experience, she attributes her success to her people management skills, and the ability to respect, praise and treat employees in a professional and friendly manner.

In 1983, Ms. Merillat graduated summa cum laude from The University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Science in education. She received a Nursing Diploma in 1967, and a Certificate as a Cardiovascular Nurse Specialist in 1975. She is the recipient of a Scholastic Nursing Award (1967), two Excellence in Nursing Awards (1990, 2002), and the Nurse Week Nursing Excellence Award for Innovation and Creativity (2002). She also received a $500 scholarship from The Toledo Hospital School of Nursing, School of Continuing Education.
