Anne E. Bowman Named VIP for Excellence in Genealogical Research

JAMUL, CA, October 13, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Anne Bowman, DDS, Genealogist for Bowman Genealogy Services, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in genealogical research.

After excelling in the dental field for 37 years, Dr. Bowman needed a change. "I worked for Chula Vista Periodontics, owned Anne E. Bowman, DDS, and served in the U.S. Reserve Dental Corps," she says, adding that after her brother had children, she began feeling a curiosity to professionally explore her family's heritage. Both of Dr. Bowman's parents were only children, so she and her brother grew up without any other relatives. Hardworking and determined, she established Bowman Genealogy Services in 2010.

In her position as genealogist, Dr. Bowman bears the responsibility of researching online localities and repositories, helping families build family trees, and sharing information with genealogical societies. Additionally, she works with law enforcement and attorneys, studies immigration records, tax records and land records, travels to locate documents, and collaborates with colleagues, the Library of Congress and other resources. Committed to excellence, Dr. Bowman performs her research in full compliance with the code of ethics of the Association of Professional Genealogists.

Dr. Bowman earned a DDS, with honors, from Loyola University Chicago in 1981, and a certification of specialty in periodontics from the LSU School of Dentistry in 1988. In 2010, she obtained a certification in genealogical research from Boston University to provide high-quality services to her clients. Dr. Bowman is a member of a number of organizations, including the Southern California Genealogical Society, the New England Historic Genealogical Society, the National Genealogy Society, the Polish Genealogical Society of America and the Association of Professional Genealogists. Looking forward, Dr. Bowman intends to expand her business into a thriving entity in the field of genealogy.
