Ava Sammarco Named Professional of the Year in Nursing
Ms. Sammarco's experience spans 33 years and includes geriatrics, practical nursing, and, now, entertainment

BUFFALO, NY, October 26, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ava Marie Sammarco, Licensed Practical Nurse for Park Creek, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in nursing.

Thirty-three years ago, Ms. Sammarco entered the nursing profession to fulfill her lifelong interest in the field. She is a licensed practical nurse and a certified CPR instructor who has spent the past 14 years working for Park Creek, a residential care center for seniors. She retains an expertise in geriatrics and acute care which derives from her direct experience in that area. Her many responsibilities at Park Creek include supervising other licensed practical nurses, and teaching cardiopulmonary resuscitation and first aid procedures to staff members at the facility.

Ms. Sammarco also hosts a radio show called "Nurses Know" and a television show titled "Health Focus." In addition, she was cast as a nurse in a film titled "Seven Buddies." Although she has already led a career adorned with successes, Ms. Sammarco is striving for even more. She is pursuing an associate degree at Excelsior College. Thankful for the support she receives from her parents, Samuel and Eleanor, she hopes to continue to excel in her profession in the years to come.
