Dr. Irene Carr Joins The Stanford Who's Who Community
Stanford Who's Who welcomes Dr. Irene Carr to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of her exceptional effort in the Healthcare Industry.

SAN DIEGO, CA, October 6, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who welcomes Dr. Irene Carr to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of her exceptional effort in the Healthcare Industry. As a Professor at La Maestra Community Health Centers, as well as throughout her brilliant professional career, Dr. Carr has consistently demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.

Established in 1990, La Maestra Community Health Centers provides programs and services to thousands of residents each year who at or below the poverty level from the communities of City Heights (central San Diego), El Cajon (east San Diego County) and National City (south San Diego County). They provide medical care, dental care, mental health, pharmacy, job training, housing assistance, insurance eligibility, and food pantry services.

Dr. Carr is a Certified Nurse Midwife and an Emergency Nurse Practitioner who studied at the University of Utah and Brigham Young University. She also earned a PhD at the University of San Diego. Dr. Carr is a member of the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses as well as the American College of Nurse-Midwives. She also has experience lecturing at community colleges and hospitals.
