Daniel Gilloon III has been named a VIP Member for 2011-2012

EAST ROCKAWAY, NY, November 18, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Daniel T. Gilloon III, Fire Communications Technician I for Nassau County Fire Commission, has been recognized as a VIP member by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in fire rescue and medical dispatch.

Mr. Gilloon has 34 years of experience in the field of emergency services. He has worked for the Nassau County Fire Commission for the past 23 years, and currently holds the title of Fire Communications Technician 1. As a fire rescue emergency medical dispatcher, Mr. Gilloon is responsible for responding to the needs of a community in peril. He provides emergency medical response and ambulatory communication on three rotating 12-hour shifts per week.

Mr. Gilloon, who attributes his success to his hard work and dedication, became involved in his profession because of his interest in helping people. He is a former chief of the East Rockaway Volunteer Fire Department, of which he has been an active member for 35 years. In addition, he is certified as an emergency medical technician by the state of New York, and has taken courses at Nassau Community College.

Active in his community, Mr. Gilloon holds membership to the East Rockaway Kiwanis Club. In the future, he hopes to consult or work in a supervisory capacity.
