APOPKA, FL, November 02, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lee Baker, Coordinator of Respiratory Therapy for Florida Hospital Apopka, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in respiratory care.

Mr. Baker has cultivated his expertise in Respiratory Therapy throughout his 35 years of professional experience. Driven to a career in health care through his interest in helping others, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care from the University of Central Florida in 1975. Mr. Baker brings his extensive experience and expertise to his position of Coordinator of Respiratory Care at Florida Hospital Apopka. He is tasked with managing all operations of the pulmonary laboratory and sitting on various advisory committees for the hospital.

Mr. Baker's work has not gone without formal recognition. In 2008, he was named Outstanding Employee of the Year by Florida Hospital. He was also distinguished as Employee of the Year in 2007. Furthermore, he received a Model of Excellence Award in 2006 and is an honorary Kentucky Colonel. Mr. Baker credits his success in this role to his ability to build and implement ideas. He is professionally affiliated with the Florida Society of Respiratory Care and National Board of Respiratory Care. In the years to come, Mr. Baker hopes to shed some of his departmental responsibilities and take on special projects in addition to running the pulmonary laboratories.
