Richard G. Kensinger, MSW, Honored for Excellence in Psychology
Mr. Kensinger has been selected as a VIP of the Year for 2011-2012

CRESSON, PA, December 28, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Richard Kensinger, MSW, Faculty Member of the Psychology Department at Mount Aloysius College, has been named a VIP of the Year by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in psychology.

With 40 years of experience in the field of psychology, Mr. Kensinger's areas of expertise include behavioral health care, and clinical and ethical considerations. He has spent the last 12 years as a faculty member in the psychology department at Mount Aloysius College. Mr. Kensinger teaches psychology to graduates and undergraduates, in addition to introduction to sociology to undergraduates. He also trains students to become professional clinicians and conducts clinical training and consultations for behavioral health care practitioners.

Mr. Kensinger amassed four decades of experience by serving as a medic in the U.S. Air Force for four years, a clinician at various facilities, and an adjunct professor at the University of Pittsburgh, The Pennsylvania State University and Temple University. For the last six years, he has worked in a private practice at the Center for Ethics in Human Services. To date, the highlight of Mr. Kensinger's career was challenging a large health care entity regarding ethical and clinical violations, resulting in serious sanctions against the entity. He is currently being considered to aid a national quality health care initiative.

As a graduate of West Virginia University, Mr. Kensinger holds a Master of Social Work. He also holds a bachelor's degree in psychology from California University of Pennsylvania. Mr. Kensinger is a licensed clinical social worker and a certified clinical counselor with the State of Pennsylvania. He is a former board member of NAMI, and a former affiliate of the National Association of Social Workers. In 2011, he was nominated as a consultant for the Agency on Health Care Quality. Mr. Kensinger has also been recognized by Who's Who in Human Services, Who's Who in the East, and Who's Who at American Universities, in addition to receiving various military honors. He hopes to expand his private practice and his teaching responsibilities in the years to come.
