Susan Larson is driven by her desire to see patients improve as a result of her care

PALOS HEIGHTS, IL, December 28, 2011 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Susan Larson, Registered Nurse for Provena St. Mary's Hospital, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in nursing.

Ms. Larson has 21 years of experience in nursing and has been a licensed practical nurse, recently attaining her Associates degree from Joliet Junior College with an R.N. degree. St. Mary's Hospital recently hired her for the telemetry unit and she will be pursuing advanced cardiac life saving classes through the hospital in the near future. Ms. Larson was the first licensed practical nurse to receive a certification in long term care early in her nursing career.

With a lifelong desire to help others, Ms. Larson attributes her success to her desire to see patients improve as a result of her care. Ms. Larson, who is pursuing a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Saint Xavier University, considers one of her greatest accomplishments to be setting a new school record for her score on the mock board examination. She is a supporter of the Cerebral Palsy Foundation and Cornerstone Services.
